ECM Espresso Coffee Machines Co. is hiring IMMEDIATELY for a Service Technician position based in the Lower Mainland of B.C.
ECM is a family owned, B.C. business, currently celebrating 39 years of dedication to the specialty coffee industry. We are looking for a dedicated team member to provide a key service to our customers. This position will be in the technical service department, where your primary role will be a Service Technician in addition to various other duties.

Candidates must possess the following:
•Clean driver's abstract
•High school education or equivalent
•Customer service experience
•Basic plumbing and electrical skills
•Basic computer knowledge
•Ability to work well in a team environment
•Be organized and work efficiently
•Be a self-starter, motivated and reliable
EMPLOYEE GOALS: Become proficient with repairs and maintenance of conventional espresso machines, grinders, super-automatic espresso machines, panini grills and dishwashers.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY: You will work very closely with the service team while reporting to the service manager. You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with customers while performing timely repairs and maintaining sufficient inventory of parts. You understand that we are in a service industry and must be committed to ensuring problems are responded to immediately. This occasionally will require extending the work day or in the case of installations, to work non-conventional hours, as service issues do not only occur between 9am and 5pm.
•Repair, cleaning and calibration of espresso machines and grinders
• Conducting installations (basic plumbing and electrical)
• Filling out installation forms and inspection checklists
• Completing service orders in a timely fashion
• Maintaining vehicle inventory
• Keeping the shop clean
•Be a team player; treat others honestly and with respect
•Exceed customer expectations, be proactive
•Be a leader, participate and communicate
•Listen, have fun, share knowledge
•You are not expected to have all the answers. Be honest with your customer and work to find a
timely solution. Do not guess.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive wage. The position is subject to a 6 month probation period and 3 to 6 months training in the field.
